Junior Competition Report

On Sunday L.R.S.A.C held the 2nd junior competition of the year fished on the north wall down at Lyme Regis. The sun was shining with a gentle breeze blowing as 6 junior’s turned up to fish. The match would be fished like the Wednesday night league, a points per fish type match with 5 of each fish to count.
Izzy Herbert came out in first place with 2 ballen wrasse, one of which at 539 grams is the heaviest this year a cracking scorpion fish of 107 grams and some shannys. Giving her a total of 11 pts.
2nd place went to new member Aydan Rawlins who caught his full number of shannys before trying to catch something else. He managed to do that in the form of a gilthead bream weighing 96 grams which is a record for the junior section so well done to you, as well as making a tackle shop owner and myself rather jealous, as I’d never seen one. So he ended with 10 pts.
3rd place finished up with 3 members Willow Herbert, James Coddington and Ryan Male who all caught their limit of shannys but didn’t managed to find another specie.
Gideon Wren also had shannys but could not find the full 5 allowed.
Thank you all so much for such a enjoyable afternoon.
