Presentation Evening Report

The club continues to grow from strength to strength with over 100 members signed on.

2015 has been another successful year with 8 shore and 3 boat club records being broken.

There were three new entrants to the Top 20 Specimen Fish Hall of Fame.

Club members taking part in both shore competitions were up and down on previous years and the boat competition showed a healthy increase.

In the Saturday shore competition, numbers slightly increased from 28 in 2014 to 33 in 2015.

The Wednesday shore competition was down slightly from 32 to 25

The Boat section improved on the previous years’ competition up from 44 to 55.

We took part in the Lyme Bay Inter-club Boat match which was fished out of West Bay this year. Those clubs taking part were Lyme Regis, West Bay, Honiton and Beer and we won the trophy for the first time thanks to Roy Shipway and Darren Herbert who were representing L.R.S.A.C.

In the Lyme Bay Inter-club Shore match the same four clubs took part with the addition of Seaton and L.R.S.A.C. came a very worthy second.

We will also be running the “Big Bream” competition again on the date of our Bream Boat match. Date for your diaries Sunday 16th September –  09.00 to 17.00.

FIVE GO FISHING IN DORSET – Two day Charter Boat Open Competition – Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June – 09.00 to 17.00. Book up now with your charter boat skipper to avoid disappointment. £600 of prize money to be won.

Members kindly donated many superb prizes including 4 rods and 3 reels plus lots of other prizes (mainly drink!) and over £200 was raised that went towards club funds.
