LRSAC held it’s 2nd Wednesday league shore match of the year last night (11.02.15). Fishing was in Lyme Regis from 6.30pm until 10.30pm, targeting “the best Flounder”. 17 anglers took part, fishing mainly from the harbour walls and Monmouth beach, in calm and warmer than the usual February weather than we are used to. Although plenty of Pout, Poor Cod, Small Bass, Whiting, Pollack, and Rockling were all caught, finding a Flounder big enough to bring to the scales proved difficult.
Rob Garth however, did manage to find a Flounder in size just 10 minutes from the end of the match, securing him 1st place and 5 points!
The next LRSAC match is for the Saturday league, and will be fished at Charmouth from 6pm until 11pm on the 21st of February, fishing is for the “heaviest pair of fish”.
