From Wayne Burges – Shore Secretary
14 Members fished the Wednesday league comp for most Number of Species.
We had crystal clear water but a swell being whipped up from the wind which made fishing extremely hard! 5 members failed to bring fish to the scales. The overall theme for the night was to catch a Ballan Wrasse before sunset then target the other species.
The weigh in showed the difficult conditions with Ballan Wrasse, Dog fish and Bull Huss being the most weighed fish, Lots of mini species were caught however. Lee Chard managed a nice scad just before the end of the competition to secure his 2 points. The results were:
1st place Dave White with a Bull Huss, Dog Fish and a Ballan Wrasse.
2nd place went to Ryan White with a Bull Huss and a Dog Fish.
3rd place went to Darren Herbert with a Ballan Wrasse and a Pouting.
Next Shore match is on Wednesday 8th July.
