Last night 9 members of LRSAC fished Lyme Regis in the Saturday, March league match (changed from Charmouth due to the sea state and weed in the water). The target was for the most number of species, excluding mini species.
The anglers fished from either the front beach or from the harbour, so as to get out of a strong westerly wind! Fishing was hard and apart from Rockling, Eels, and Pout, fish were hard to find. There were a few Dogfish and Bull Huss caught from the Victoria pier and a small Dover Sole made a appearance from the harbour entrance!
1st place went to Bryn Thomas, 2nd went to Darren Herbert, and 3rd was Alex Rawlings.
The next shore match is at Charmouth on Wednesday 15th March and the bonus fish will be Bull Huss.
There is also a boat match on Sunday 12th, in search for the biggest Pollack.
