On Saturday 14th January Lyme Regis SAC held their first Saturday league match of 2017.
It was a rover match in search of the best Whiting. 13 Anglers fished the match from 6 pm until 11pm, and fished from Seaton, Lyme Regis, Seatown, and Abbotsbury.
Seaton only produced 1 dogfish between the 3 anglers there.
Lyme Regis didn’t see any Whiting either but did see some big Pouting, Dogfish, Flounder, and the first Pollack weighed in for the year, a 991 gram fish for Peter Yates.
Seatown did produce a few whiting for Tom Chapple and Jim Leighton, who also weighed in the biggest Pouting so far at 469 grams.
The 3 winning Whiting all came from Abbotsbury with Robert Kisielewski taking first place with 459 grams, second was Ben Male with 455 grams, and third was Ryan Male (Junior) with 366 grams.
The next LRSAC match is on Wednesday 1st February and will be fished in Lyme Regis with Pollack as the bonus fish.
