The latest Wednesday League match took place last night and nine members fished this competition which as usual was on the Species Points system.  Members were allowed to catch a maximum of five fish per species and Wrasse was the bonus fish for the evenings fishing.

First with a season’s best Ballan Wrasse of 900gms. was Ben Male on 36 points Ben caught 4 Ballan wrasse, 5 Dogfish and a Pouting.

Second was Darren Herbert on 34 points with 4 Ballan Wrasse and 5 Dogfish.

Third was a new member, Steve Andrews on 28 points who caught a Ballan Wrasse, 2 Corkwing Wrasse and 3 Dogfish.

Several Bull Huss were caught but they were all undersize.

The next Wednesday competition is on 11th May at Hive – Bonus fish is any Ray.
