Four years ago Darren Herbert and myself attended our first Wyvern Presentation Evening.

Things didn’t start too well that year when after thinking we were the first ones there sat in the car park, it dawned on us after a 45 minute wait, that at 19.30 we might have got something wrong. Yes we were at the wrong venue!!

A quick phone call and then a dash to the correct venue, got us there 25 minutes late.

We sat there and listened to the Fish of the Month results being called out, incidentally Darren won Best Flat Fish that year with a cracking Dover Sole, but what struck both of us at the time was the absence of Junior entries with many prizes not being claimed.

We decided there and then to make a more concerted effort to get Lyme Regis SAC on the winners list.

I am pleased to say our mission has now been accomplished, with last night LRSAC members taking 24 of the awards on offer. In the Senior section we won 2 and had 4 runner -up spots. In the Junior section we won 8 and had 10 runner-up spots.

Top Individual winners were Keir Tweedale with 7 awards closely followed by Ryan Male  with 5 awards
