Today’s boat comp for the best pair of Whiting went ahead in very cold and blustery conditions, 10 anglers fished aboard Alice Rose skippered by Phil Hodder. Lots of Whiting where caught up to about 1.5lbs and everyone managed to bring at least 2 Whiting to the boat. Lots of other fish where caught including Bull Huss to 5lbs, Pouting to 2lbs, Dogfish to 2lbs and Pollack to 3lbs!

In the end the top 3 were

3rd Keir Tweedale – 772gms
2nd Lee Chard 1,034gms
1st Darren Herbert 1,104gms

A special mention has to go to Keir Tweedale aged 9 who out fished  many other experienced anglers in very challenging conditions, he caught five different species came 3rd in the competition and had the biggest Pollack of the day! Well done Keir.
