On Sunday 11th June the latest round of the LRSAC Boat League took place with the competition being for Best Cod.

In very trying conditions Pegasus (skipper Lewis Hodder) took to the sea with 12 members on board. On the first drift two cod were caught fishing on the Tennants Reef which gave a lot of optimism for the rest of the days fishing. Unfortunately only one further Cod was caught during the day and the members took the opportunity to increase their catches in the species league. Pollack, Pouting , Poor Cod, L.S.Dogfish, Cuckoo Wrasse and even one Herring were caught.

First in the competition was Mike Hansell with a 5.90lbs Cod, second was Adam Morris with a Cod of 5.72lbs, third was Owen Goff with a Cod of 3.48lbs.
