Sunday’s Pollack Boat Competition Report – 12th March

Thankfully the weather had eased during the week and we were able to fish the Pollack Competition. Nineteen anglers took to the sea in three charter boats and as well as Pollack, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Pouting and Whiting were caught.

Fifteen anglers caught the required Pollack with six fish being brought to the scales that weighed over 10lbs!

In first place was Mike Hansell (fishing on Amaretto IV) with a personal best fish of 15lbs 11ozs. In second place was Barry Moore (also on Amaretto IV) with a fish of 12lbs 15ozs and third place went to Roy Shipway (fishing on Pegasus) with a fish of 12lbs 3ozs.

Catch of the day was Keir Tweedale aged 10 with a new Junior Pollack Record of 11bs 8ozs – Well done Keir!!
