Wednesday Shore League report

Last night was the LRSAC Wednesday league shore match for February.

Eleven anglers turned out in windy and wet conditions to fish a rough sea at Lyme Regis. Most of the anglers opted to fish around the more sheltered harbour entrance, while a few of the members ventured onto the new East wall. Pouting, Dogfish, 3 Bearded Rockling, Shore Rockling, and Flounder were all recorded on the score sheets. Ben Male and Paul Chard, both tied for 1st place with 10 points, and Peter Yates took 3rd place with 9 points.

It was hard fishing all round, but Flapper Rigs with floating, glow pop-up’s, baited with Ragworm and Mackerel produced the best results. Hopefully after this storm passes we should see a big increase in the numbers of Flounder In Lyme, especially from the main beach and around the harbour.

Saturday night LRSAC will be hosting it’s annual presentation night from 7.30pm at the Cob Arms. All past and present members are welcome along with any family and friends.
